Diploma Medical Lab Technology Engineering ❯

The Medical Lab Technology Department of SUSPC is an allied health and paramedical course that is concerned with diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease through clinical laboratories test. Students enrolled in the course are imparted training in laboratory management ethics through practical sessions, internal assessments, viva voice and internship training programmes. As the part of the course, such students are taught to handle clinical tests, laboratory equipment, match blood samples for blood transfusions, test cholesterol levels and blood pressure, files reports, conduct tests, etc.

Course Duration 3 years
Eligibility Must pass 10+2 from a recognized board with (Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subject along with one of the Mathematics/Biology shall eligible to apply.)
LEET:Pass in 10+2 vocational/10+2 Non-Medical/I.T.I

Career Opportunities

After completion of the course the diploma holders will get hired as certified medical laboratory technician in laboratories research institutes and clinics. With the rapid growth in the private health sector, there are number of job opportunities springing up in Private Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Blood Banks, Pathology Laboratories and In- vitro fertilization laboratories. Such professionals can also open their own clinical laboratories affirming to State Government Laws.
