Companies use computer networks to provide communication and data infrastructure for employees at all levels. The IT professionals who work with networks are numerous in any given company. Individuals who design and implement them are the networkers, i.e. network architects or network engineers. These networkers plan and develop additional networks as needed.
The networkers are also known as network administrators. The work of these managers is to take charge of the computer information systems and security for a company. They train new users and also upgrade the programs daily to protect the network. The main priority of the computer networking specialist is to provide support all the time that keeps the network functioning. Computer networking specialists maintain the software and hardware, monitor the system for potential disturbances, analyse problems, and develop plans for potential solutions.
In some systems, the computer networking professional also looks after the security system for the network.
