From the Desk of Vice Chairman

When we began the Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering & Technology (SUSCET) in 1996 as first self financing private engineering college we had a long-term vision. It was a vision to develop a global class institution with professional courses that could train human resources for the fast changing corporate and business landscape of the country. The floodgates of opportunity were opening up. Jobs were being created in unprecedented numbers and pay packets were bulging. The time and tide for inception of institution were ideal and we put in best infrastructure in place and arranged for the best faculty to make the institution a success from day one. There was an all round zest for success that led to trend setting excellence at academics, holistic learning and all round development of the personality. We networked in the corporate world to secure tie-ups with companies for securing quality placements for the students, summer trainings and workshops. The high decibel proactive approach of the management towards placements has produced envious results. Our students are working wonders in their fields of specializations.

As a result, focus of SUSGOI experience is not just accumulation of intellectual wealth, academic ability and instillation of competitive spirit. It is also development of sound individual personalities, who can seamlessly interweave personal achievement with organizational glory, personal ambition with social deliverance, and material progress with spiritual value system enhancement. We have been led by the adage of creating superior professionals and better human beings. Our ever increasing body of alumni is, therefore, achievers par excellence and responsible citizens. They are guide-posts not only in their respective organizations but also to the budding professionals back home at the campus. We can proudly say that we have successfully created a dynamic eco- system where technical education is disseminated with a humanistic touch.

We too have not been resting our oars, while our students were carving their destinies. The SUS Group has now seven institutions in its fold. Each of them has grown to become a paragon of academic excellence. The campus is bustling with activity the year round. Special seminars, guest lectures and interactive sessions with people of eminence are organized for influx of fresh ideas in theory and praxis. There is a strong focus on inculcation of moral fibre, an unimpeachable value system and motivation to build courage to take on the greatest challenges of life. However, we strongly feel that journey to perfection has no end - whether it is institutional or individual. Success can be impermanent but quest for perfection is permanent. Our endeavour, therefore, is endless.

"Wishing you all the best."

  • Looking back, the most rewarding aspect of my graduation from SUSCET was that it allowed me to get a glimpse into a side of engineering that was unknown to me before. College provided me the perfect setting to gain inspiration and explore the wealth of internships and volunteering opportunities in India and abroad, which shaped up the main ethical foundation of my entrepreneurial career.
