SUS Celebrated International Women's Day on 6th March 2020

The Chairman of the Institute Dr. Gurpreet Singh welcomed Sahar Gharachorlou , life and holistic coach trained in more that 62 metaphysical and energy work therapies. She worked for 12 years with MNC's at senior management level.

 

Addressing the Chairman & Chief Guest the Director General Dr. Colonel J.S.Virk expressed views on this very special day i.e. dedicated to Woman. He said, ‘International Woman Day’ is a global day, celebrating the social, economic, cultural & political achievements of woman. On this day we celebrate women’s achievements, challenges, Gender stereotypes and bias etc.

 

The organizer of the function, principal SUSCRT, Dr. Manavjot Kaur presenting her views said that Women Empowerment is the Empowerment of Women which helps them to take their own decisions by breaking all personal limitations of the society and the family. She said ‘Think Equal, Build smart and innovate for change.

 

The primary objective of celebrating International Women Day is highlighting key events, achievements, and aims to further promote and raise awareness of women’s rights and to achieve equal opportunity status in all walks of life. Presiding over the ‘International Women’s Day-2020 function that was packed with diverse student activities like poster making, skit etc.

College provided me the perfect setting to gain inspiration and explore the wealth of internships and volunteering opportunities in India and abroad, which shaped up the main ethical foundation of my entrepreneurial career.
