About The Trust

Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering and Technology (SUSCET) Tangori (Mohali), promoted by Desh Bhagat Memorial Educational Trust, is the first self-financing Engineering college in the state of Punjab. The Trust is led by Er. Sukhwinder Singh Sidhu (Chairman), Dr. J.S. Dhaliwal (Vice Chairman) and Sh. Gurlabh Singh (Gen. Secretary) who are professionals and dedicated to the cause of education. The objective of the Trust is to develop a nucleus campus that should impart quality technical education in various disciplines of Engineering & Technology, to meet the increasing needs of the new millennium. The college is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, the Government of Punjab and is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar.

 

 

SUSCET is an ISO 9001-2000 certified college, which in itself is a hallmark of quality in management systems. The college has also been awarded the, 'National Gold Star', award by the 'International Business Council', New Delhi in the year 2002, for its creditable achievements in the field of academics. Continual improvement in the quality of personnel and education system are inherent to the working of the college. This has not only created a perfect blend of work culture in the college, but has also earned it an enviable reputation of being one of the premier colleges in the Northern region. Moreover, the Mechanical Engineering Department of the college has been chosen as the 'Centre of Excellence in Manufacturing Sciences' by PTU. Presently, efforts are being made to get the college accredited from competent authorities. The college, with a fully wi-fi enabled campus, is the first institute in the University to earn accreditation of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Ltd.

  • Looking back, the most rewarding aspect of my graduation from SUSCET was that it allowed me to get a glimpse into a side of engineering that was unknown to me before. College provided me the perfect setting to gain inspiration and explore the wealth of internships and volunteering opportunities in India and abroad, which shaped up the main ethical foundation of my entrepreneurial career.
